| WHICH SCREEN PRODUCT IS RIGHT FOR YOU? |
Deciding which insect screen product is right for you can be an easy choice. If you are replacing just one, or just a few of your screens you will want to match the new material to the existing screen material for a consistent look. Determine if the existing screen material is metal / aluminum or fiberglass. Next determine which color or finish your existing screens are. Aluminum is offered in two standard finishes – bright finish and charcoal finish. Fiberglass is also available in two colors – gray and charcoal. | WHICH SIZE SPLINE TO USE? |
Retaining spline is used to hold the screening product in the frame. It is available in many different sizes/ diameters from .125” to .230”. The diameter refers to the thickness of the spline. The easiest ways to choose the right size diameter for your frame is to take a piece of your existing spline with you when you go to purchase new spline. If that is not possible measure the size of the frame channel and choose a diameter just a little wider to ensure a tight fit. If you do not find an exact match it is possible to stretch the spline slightly making it narrower so start with a diameter that is slightly larger than needed.
